Members are invited to attend the 57th Annual General Meeting of Business Mauritius which will be held on Monday 24 September 2018 at 14 30 at Le Sirius, Le Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel, Port Louis.

Today, the National Crisis Committee (NCC) of which Business Mauritius is a member, met for an evaluation of the prevailing weather conditions.

Summer which normally spans from November to May is usually the main rainy season in Mauritius. Rain can at times be particularly heavy and persistent during this period.  Heavy rainfall can cause water accumulation and flooding which may lead to severe traffic congestion and eventual disruption of work in enterprises.

Business Mauritius kick-started this year with the Social Capital Commission meeting on the 18th January. The agenda comprised of the presentation of quantitative results of employment skills survey from DCDM, an update on achievements of the commission, the working groups and the way forward for 2019.

Business Mauritius attended the 1st Meeting of the High Level Drugs and HIV Council under the chairmanship of the Hon. Prime Minister, on Tuesday 8th of January 2019. The topics discussed included the organisation structure of the Council & Timelines for implementation.

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is organising a Business Seminar on Thursday 13 June 2019 at the premises of the Economic Development Board of Mauritius (EDB) on the upcoming FOODEX JAPAN 2020 EXPO which will be held from 10-13 March 2020 in Japan.  Accordingly, JETRO has requested the EDB to facilitate the dissemination of invitations to relevant stakeholders in Mauritius.  On behalf of the Johannesburg Office of JETRO, we are pleased to invite you to attend the JETRO Business Seminar on FOODEX JAPAN 2020 EXPO which will be held in the Conference room of the Economic Development Board.
