Latest Updates: COVID-19 Confinement 2021

We hope that you and your families are safe and in good health and that many of you have already had access to the COVID-19 vaccination in the past weeks.

Since the announcement of the lockdown which started this morning, we have been working with the relevant authorities to reactivate several of the actions which had allowed us to navigate through the stormy waters of the first lockdown.

We are presently working on the reactivation of the Work Access Permits.  Once all relevant parties agree on the way forward with regards to the WAPs, we shall communicate to the whole business community immediately.

On the topic of communication, we strongly suggest that BM members refer to BM’s formal communications and to our website where all the verified news will be posted. We would like to stress that it is very important not to spread unverified information as this only adds to the confusion in a situation which is already difficult.

With regards to the re-opening of essential businesses tomorrow, more information will be given as soon as possible. Same will be done as soon as we get information on the follow-up on the vaccination campaign.

In the meantime, please follow the Protocol for Businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in your workplace

Business Mauritius will remain at the service of the business community during these difficult times. All our activities are maintained as we are fully equipped to work from home.  As such, we can be joined on the normal BM number 466-36-00 or via our email info@businessmauritius.org.

We have already defeated Covid-19 once, and we will again. Let us stay calm and united.
