Mauritius Ports Authority-COVID 19 (Restriction of Access to Specified Institutions) (Amendment) Regulations 2021

With the forthcoming regulation cited as the COVID 19 (Restriction of Access to Specified Institutions) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 under the Quarantine Act 2020, the Port has been included in the areas whereby vaccination card or valid RT PCR test result will be mandatory for access purposes so as to prevent the spread of COVID 19.

As decided by the Government, access to Port restricted areas and MPA & CHCL Buildings will be allowed only to those satisfying the following mandatory requirements relating to Vaccination or RT-PCR test result as from 15 August 2021 by producing of:

  • Either a COVID-19 vaccination card certifying that the person has been vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine;
  • Or a RT-PCR test result slip certifying a negative result dating back to not more than 7 days from the date of the RT-PCR test was undertaken in case the person has not been vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine.

Please encourage your staff/ members for vaccination and inform them about the forthcoming requirements for access to Port Restricted Areas and MPA & CHCL Buildings.

Once the said regulation is promulgated, further details will be communicated.
