As you are aware, the General Assembly of the United Nations declared 09 December as the International Anti-Corruption Day. 9th December represents an opportunity to take stock and reflect on progress achieved in the fight against corruption at national level and pave the way forward.
1. To commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Day 2020, the ICAC will be organising two major events as follows:

2. This year’s UN motto for the day is “RECOVER with INTEGRTY”. It focuses on recovery through corruption mitigation and emphasizes that inclusive COVID-19 recovery can only be achieved with integrity. In this context, we are inviting you and your organisation, as a PPPAC member and privileged stakeholder, to engage more actively in the implementation of effective and visible actions to promote an anti-corruption culture based on trust, accountability, transparency and integrity to commemorate the Day.
3. Accordingly, some initiatives that may be considered by your organisation include:
•posting of anti-corruption messages on the website/social media platforms/electronic boards of the organisation for the attention of your stakeholders;
•organisation of working sessions for the staff to reflect on the following:
a) corruption risks that may impact negatively on your institution;
b) enhancing staff integrity;
c) complying with legal and ethical requirements; and
d) effective implementation of the Code of Ethics/Conduct.
